This is about “life hacking” not “computer hacking.” It’s a collection of tips, tricks, and explanations about how to get the most out of your visit to Germany.
I’ve lived in Germany for 10 of the last 12 years and just recently was approved to be a resident alien. That should tell you how much I absolutely love this place. While I’m an American, this is my home away from the USA. I’m doing my best to be a good ambassador, sharing my experiences as an American, while living my life as a humble guest. I hope you’ll follow my lead.
Watch for this site to grow as I share my experiences, thoughts and “hacks” for getting the most out of your time in this great country. Keep in mind, this is NOT the USA. You may encounter situations that will make you shake your “Ami” head in disbelief. [NOTE: Americans are often referred to as “Amis.” It’s not an insult, just what we’ve been called for 80+ years] I hope this site will at least prepare you for some of the differences and how to deal with them a little better.
